Wachazaji wanaocheza katika ligi ya nchini England Alex Iwobi na Victor Moses wametajwa kwenye kikosi cha wachezaji 30 cha timu ya taifa ya Nigeria, kitakachoingia kambini kujiandaa na fainali za kombe la dunia, zitakazoanza Urusi, Juni 14.
Wawili hao wanazitumikia klabu za jijini London (Arsenal na Chelsea) wamejumuishwa kwenye kikosi hicho na kocha Gernot Rohr, huku wakiaminiwa huenda wakawa viongozi wazuri kwa wachezaji wengine kuelekea katika fainali hizo.
Hata hivyo kocha Gernot Rohr raia wa Ujerumani, atalazimika kupunguza wachezaji watano ili kusalia na wachezaji 25, ambao kisheria wanaruhusiwa kuunda kikosi kitakachoshiriki fainali za kombe la dunia nchini Urusi.
Kabla ya kufanya maamuzi ya kupunguza kikosi hadi kufikia wachezaji 25, Nigeria itacheza michezo ya kimataifa ya kirafiki dhidi ya DR. Congo, England na Jamuhuri ya Czech Republic.
